It’s been awhile since I have posted on this blog; lately my focus has been a bit different. In September I moved to Broken Arrow, OK and officially ended the first leg of my U.S. travels. I applied and was accepted to the School of World Missions at Rhema Bible Training Center, but do to a lack of funds I have had to postpone attending until next fall.

During the process of applying for school, I started doing an inventory of the ministry and the direction it was taking and I started to re-evaluate the direction my life was taking. I became much more conscientious about where I am going and what I am doing. The truth is I didn’t accomplish even a quarter of what my goal was while on the road. There is so much more to do and I realized that, even without the travel, I am still searching for God in America. I am still looking for the climax to my story about God living in America through His people. There is still so much to do and experience.

During my travels I met some pretty amazing people. I met many who loved God, many who didn’t really know God, and many who never want to know God. I met people running from God, people searching for God, and I watched as people reunited with God or met Him for the first time. I spoke at youth outreaches, detention centers, teen centers, and drug rehab centers. I served food to the homeless, witnessed on the streets, and showed God’s love at a gay pride parade. I gutted flooded homes, sprayed mold remediation on stud walls, cut trees after tornadoes, and assisted in every way I could in Haiti after the devastating earthquake. All in all, I had a great time. I learned about trusting God and seeing His provision at every turn. This was definitely a life changing experience.

Although the road trip has ended, the ministry is continuing on. Vision is being cast and a plan is being written. The travels will resume at a date yet to be determined, during a time yet to be established. This blog will continue because finding God in America can not be accomplished in a predetermined time frame, on a preplanned and pre-scheduled outing, no matter how epic it may be by design. There are so many things yet to discover about life, faith, love, and God, and I have come to realize that I will spend my entire life searching for God in those around me.

The blog will see some changes in the coming days and months. I have been hesitant to write about many topics. I have not wanted to go against the grain, to disagree with others opinions or with those who have been instrumental in my development in ministry. I am no longer going to be as hesitant to write about these topics. Although I have had my fair share of confrontation in life, I am not confrontational by nature, and I assure you that confrontation has always been a last resort. I want this blog to be about real life, about my real life. You know, the one where my head wars against God, my actions do anything but glorify Him, and my thoughts contradict everything written in the Bible. The life that gets in the way of the utopia life I was promised when I chose to follow God. The life that struggles through most decisions and rebels at every turn in life. That’s the life I want to write about.

Although my life does not always flow in the perfect Christian mold and I don’t always do my best at representing the Creator of this universe or His Son who gave His life for me, God is real, and I will do my best to show that through the words I write here. This blog will be a real account of what is happening in my life,  in my relationship with God, and how I use my faith to live it all out.

I want to discuss things like “Biblical tongues”, or “can you be born gay?”, or “do you have to be a republican because your a Christian”. I want to discuss the things that determine our lives and the paths they take. What does the Bible say about life and how we should live it? I want to discuss the issues that we deal with, not just as Christians, but as humans living in this world. It may not always be pretty, but it will always be life!

There will be a ministry blog that will deal specifically with the ministry, what is happening and what is to come. Visit www.RightSideUpMinistries.org. RSUM is also working on a new web project that will also have  a blog. Please visit this new site and give us feedback through the email provided on the page. www.ConfessPrayHeal.com

My true passion in life is to bring people to a real relationship with Jesus Christ. This cannot be accomplished by cramming my ideas about God down the throats of unsuspecting passers by. I know with every ounce of my being it can only be accomplished through a true experience with the creator of the universe in which we live. I cannot prove the Bible is true to anyone, nor can I prove scientifically that God exists, but I can share my life and how the Bible and God have changed it and pray that God will show you the rest.
